The meeting in SMC [Samsung Seoul Hospital]
I went to Yeoju early in the morning, had breakfast at facility, treated more than 10 families in my office. As other weeks before, I participated the meeting of SMC at 4 in the afternoon. Today there were no professor of PD in the meeting, so Prof. YS Han and Dr. JH Kim, head of Ph.D. room GS Lee lead the meeting. After that, Dr. JH Kim, Dr. JS Yu, and I had dinner together.
About 7 pm I arrived at the house of wife's parents. My wife had had hard time to control her body for her big belly, but had no sign of labor pain. Wife's sister explain how to handle the stroller and other things, and wife's father brought brochures for recruiting a nanny for our coming babies which he had made for himself. They were nice! I read some books to my babies, massaged wife's neck, hands, feet, and came back home at 9:30 pm.
Medical checkup for recruitment [Samsung Seoul Hospital]
I visited Anyang Sam Hospital for medical checkup for recruitment of Samsung Seoul Hospital. I thought it was weird that to be employed for a hospital I would have to be checked-up in other hospital.
Anyang Sam Hospital. I skipped breakfast in the morning for medical checking-up.
The interior scene of the hospital. I parked in this hospital, but the Health Medical Center was not located in this building. It took less than five minutes from here to go the center.
Sam Health Medical Center. It is located next to Anyang Register Office. I got exams such as blood test, chest X-ray, eyesight test, hearing test, dental exam, and interview with a doctor. The result will I receive next Tuesday.
Meeting at Samsung Seoul Hospital [Samsung Seoul Hospital]
In the morning I went to Yeoju facility as usual. I had to go to Samsung Seoul Hospital in this afternoon, treated lots of children in the morning and noon. And at 1:30PM, after telling the director of facility, I departed the facility toward Samsung Seoul Hospital.
Samsung Seoul Hospital from P2 parking lot. At 3:00PM I arrived at the hospital, but the time of meeting I was supposed to participate was not 3:00pm, but 4:00PM, so I had to wait about one hour. I talked with Dr. Jeongseok Yu, and participated the meeting at 4:00PM. Dr. Yu said there may be a new fellow hired esp. for the allergy center because there have been some money for the fellow from Jinan project. My pay will not from the money but from the department of Pediatrics. It'll be nice to hire one more fellow since I can work as a clinical fellow, get more experiences in a short period.
Prof. Ahn, Dr. Yu, and other fellows and staffs participated at the meeting. I didn't know about the stuffs of the meeting, so I maintained just my position. After the meeting, Prof. Ahn told me that I should come to this meeting every Monday in this month, and after that, I also have to come to this hospital until I would be a fellow of this hospital. And he and Prof. Lee were discussing about my working, esp. thesis or protocols of the department. In other words, I will be very busy in this year~! During my coming back to home, I thought of many things about the works of this year.
After arrival at home, I and my wife ordered a pizza from Jijunghwan, and ate it with relish. We talked about the arrangement of furnitures in the rooms of my house.
Interview of the directors of Samsung Seoul Hospital [Samsung Seoul Hospital]
At 11 AM, I left my house, and at past 12 o'clock met Dr. Yu in the 4th floor of the hospital. We had lunch together in the restaurant of the hospital of the same floor, and went down to the hall of the main building in a basement floor, where met Dr. JH Kim. I and Dr. Yu got measured our body size by some staffs of hospital for our gowns, and we talked each other.
From 1 pm the interview started. Former groups' interviewes were finished already, and only left some departments, including dept of Urology, OBGY, Plastic Surgery, and Pediatrics. Dr. Kim and Yu went in the interview room in advance, and I and Dr. Hong, who are my junior of residency, went in the interview room with other three applicants. When we went in the room, we bowed mannerly, and started self-introduction. There were no questions. It was mere formality.
After that, Dr. Kim, Yu, and I went to a restaurant, Dr. Kim took a meal, and the others drinked teas. And we parted. Afterward, father of the husband of my wife were hospitalized in the same hospital, so I visited him with small present. And I and sister of my wife came back to Pyeongchon by her car. It was very convinient.
